Fashion for a slim and fit figure does its job - we all follow diets from time to time.
But some holidays can ruin your efforts, and the reason is alcohol consumption.
How alcohol affects weight loss
The most important negative effect is dehydration. In this case, the cells lose not only water, but also the minerals and trace elements we need, which play an important role in metabolism and, therefore, in weight loss or gain.
Under the influence of alcohol, a person easily breaks the bar, eats much more than he intended and the most satisfying dishes. As a product, alcohol has no nutritional value, our body will expend calories from it in the first place, but all the rest taken with it will be set aside.
Alcohol has been shown to lower testosterone levels and impair digestion, which also leads to weight gain in exchange for the desired weight loss.
What kind of alcohol does not interfere much in the diet
Obviously, sweet alcohol is very high in calories and should not be allowed in the diet. Ethyl alcohol itself has 710 kcal per 100 grams, which means that all souls are also high in calories.
Diet-excluded foods include all sweet, semi-sweet and fortified wines, champagne, liqueurs and Cahors. Beef is better not to consume beer at all during weight loss: despite its low nutritional value, it contains phytoestrogens, slows down metabolism and promotes the growth of adipose tissue in the body.
It is permissible to drink one or two glasses of dry wine, approximately 150-200 ml in volume. Wine can be red or white, depending on your preferences, with a strength of 7-11%.
What to eat alcohol during a diet
If you are looking at your weight, choose for appetizers:
- low-fat cheese;
- roasted or boiled chicken, turkey, beef, beef;
- roasted, steamed or boiled vegetables;
- fish (except fried and smoked);
- lemon.
To reduce the overall damage from alcohol exposure, the most important thing is not to abuse it, not to drink too much. Try to refrain from strong and sugary alcoholic beverages.
If you are attending a party, eat foods that contain protein.
